Small enough for your pocket or overnight bag, we've designed it to be right where you need it, when you need it. Away for the weekend, but don't want to carry a large glass bottle? See someone in the bar you'd like to impress, but don't have time to head to the bathroom? Flying into Paris and feeling in need of a freshen up before touchdown? On a stuffy train and in need of a more pleasant scent? About to walk into an important meeting and feeling nervous? No matter the situation, JRNY is always there!
Once upon a time there were still places on earth to be discovered ... there was a sense of wonder and joy about boarding a train or ship to far-flung places around the world. We took inspiration for our branding from the early part of the 20th century, because we wanted to reconnect to a time when the world was still being explored and travel was an adventure. The COVID pandemic landed during brand development, and the reality of not being able to just jump on a plane really hit home. This just encouraged us about the importance of staying connected, not just to our adventurous heart, but to the wonder of the journey - without and within wherever we are. JRNY is the thrill of a road trip, the excitement of a boarding gate and the romance of a central railway platform - all in your pocket!
While JRNY Essentials is a luxury brand, we've designed it to be as accessible as possible. JRNY has been designed for all genders and deliberately steers clear of gendered stereotypes typical of the fragrance industry. JRNY seeks to support equality and diversity by being multicultural, body-positive, and harmonious in its branding. We seek to be disruptive towards the social stratification of our planet and its colonial heritage, in order to create a more equal and just planet for all!
We source unique essential oils from around the world, but where possible endeavour to find what we can from our island home. The natural sugar-cane derived alcohol is from QLD, many of the essential oils are grown right here, and everything is hand-made with love in Melbourne.
We do our very best to ensure that our pure botanicals are coming to us in their natural state, that they are ethically and sustainably farmed, and don't use palm oil in any of our products. We also don't use any synthetic fragrances, preservatives or nasty chemicals in our products. JRNY is all about getting back to nature and doing the right thing.
Where possible, we have designed our packaging with an eco-warrior ideology. We engaged an eco-design company here in Australia to ensure we've done everything we can; from our labels, to the outer-packaging, and even the post-pack to be as recycled (or recyclable) as possible. We've minimised the use of plastic and opted for glass and paper in order to reduce the introduction of more plastics to our precious planet. We'd love it if you could help us in our aims, by reusing or disposing of packaging as thoughtfully as possible. In addition to all this we have carbon offset available at checkout so we can help reduce our overall footprint, and when you place an order with us trees get planted!
